Princess Diaries - The Hero Cycle
Although Mia Thermopolis appears as an median(a) 15-year-old, in the film The Princess Diaries, Mia has a greater key out in flavour, which is displayed through and through the cycle of the hero. Mia lives in San Francisco with her artsy single-mother, Helen. At her high school, she is a social outcast on with her two best friends, Lilly and Lillys brother, Michael. This is Mias call to adventure because this is an issue that hardly Mia can conquer. Clarisse tells Mia that the family throne is in danger if she doesnt spirit up to the plate as the next heir. While Mia decid es if she wants the righteousness of being apart of the princely family, her Grandmother gives her princess lessons and a demonstrateover. Her life becomes chaotic when everybody finds out she is a princess. In the film Mia follows Joseph Campbells Cycle of the Hero by displaying her locomote into fitting the Princess of Genovia.\nMia, floor and in disbelief that she is a princess, faces refusal of the call, which is when the hero is hesitant to come in on their journey. Being refer about her social standing, Mia feels that becoming a princess will make her seem more of a castaway. Mias mother convinces her to scratch princess lessons from her grandmother before the Genovia liberty Day Ball.\nGuiding Mia through princess lessons, Clarisse acts as her Supernatural aid, which is a mentor who prepares the hero for their journey by giving advice, knowledge, or a magic weapon.
